If you are yearning for adventure and to really test your ability in a canoe, why not join us for a 5 day odyssey in to the wild and untouched remoteness of the North West and Central Highlands of Scotland? This promises to be a journey of epic proportions as we explore the wild Inverpolly Lochs of Veyatie, Fionn and Sionascaig. Overshadowed by the mighty Suilven, we'll find a wild camp site and take a couple of days to explore the environment, fully immersed in the peace and tranquillity of this vast and beautiful area of Scotland. From our base, you can choose to explore on foot at your leisure, or why not took on Suilven itself? After a couple of days here we can decide as a group where we go next! We can either portage over to Sionascaig, which is a serious undertaking in itself but we would be well rewarded with a simply stunning loch, or we could head back to the cars and drive to the central belt and a different look and feel entirely. The decision literally is ours to take as we feel. We would meet in Ullapool to start our journey the following day and a specific itinerary will be developed closer to the time.

This expedition can tick off a number of PaddleUK modules such as touring, open water touring and multiday touring as part of the package. It can be paddled by solo and tandem paddlers alike, but your paddling proficiency should be enough that you can cope with paddling in open water in winds up to F4. We will of course learn some new skills and group techniques along the way, and the experience will be educational and one to remember for years to come.

You will be ably assisted by a fully qualified open water canoe leader and canoe coach with many years of supporting individuals and groups on canoe expeditions in wild and remote areas. For this expedition you must be self sufficient and provide your own canoe and camping equipment. I can provide a detailed equipment list if necessary.
